Compassionate, High-Tech Care

That Prioritizes Patient Comfort

“Dr. Thomas is the most professional dentist I've experienced in my 65 years. When you enter his office, it's clear that he cares deeply about the patient's comfort.  He is always upgrading his equipment to provide the most modern and up-to-date care possible.  I've yet to feel uncomfortable when he is working in my mouth with difficult dental procedures.

He also takes time to communicate clearly the problems with my teeth and the plan to address them." — Bruce, 5-Star Review

Making Your Implant Care More Affordable

Dental implants are a long-term investment in your smile, and we’re here to make the process as smooth and manageable as possible.

While insurance may not cover the implant itself, it often applies to portions of your treatment such as preparatory procedures or the final restorations (like crowns or dentures). Our team will work with your provider to help you maximize eligible benefits.

We accept most major dental insurance plans, including:

  • Delta Dental
  • Aetna
  • Regence BCBS

Flexible payment options are also available:

  • Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover
  • Third-party financing through Cherry and CareCredit®, with low- or no-interest plans for qualified patients

If you have questions about payment, insurance coverage, or financing, our Salt Lake City team is happy to walk you through your options.

Implant-Supported Solutions That Look and Feel Like Natural Teeth

Thanks to our in-house Sprintray 3D printer, we can produce both temporary and permanent restorations with exceptional accuracy, including crowns, bridges, and dentures. That means fewer visits, faster feedback, and smiles tailored to your exact needs.

Implant-Supported Crowns

When a single tooth is missing, an implant-supported crown offers a stable, long-term solution without altering neighboring teeth. Unlike traditional crowns, these are attached directly to the implant, restoring function and aesthetics from the tooth root up.

Implant-Supported Bridges

If you’re missing multiple teeth in a row, implant-supported bridges provide a durable, non-removable alternative to partial dentures. These bridges are anchored by dental implants, offering stronger support and helping prevent bone loss in the jaw.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures offer comfort and security that traditional dentures can’t match. They snap securely into place using strategically placed implants, eliminating slipping while supporting the implant site and overall oral health.

Who’s a Candidate for Dental Implants?

patient loving her results

Most healthy adults with missing teeth are eligible for dental implants, but every smile is different. During your consultation, Dr. Thomas will evaluate your oral health, medical history, and bone density to determine the best treatment path.

Some patients may need preparatory care before implant placement. We offer comprehensive in-house services to help get your smile ready, including gum disease therapy, root canals, TMJ treatment, and tooth extractions.

In cases of bone loss, Dr. Thomas may recommend procedures like sinus lift augmentation or autogenous bone grafting to build a strong, healthy foundation for implant placement. These treatments improve bone quality and make implant success possible, even when the upper jaw or posterior sites are compromised.

Even if you’ve been told you’re not a candidate in the past, you may still qualify for implants, including advanced options like All-on-4.

Full-Arch Solutions With All-on-4/All-on-X Dental Implants

If you’re missing most or all of your teeth, All-on-4 and All-on-X systems offer a streamlined way to regain a full, stable smile. These advanced treatments use just four to six implants to support an entire arch of artificial teeth. The approach minimizes the number of surgical procedures while maximizing strength and appearance.

This approach is ideal for patients who want a long-term, natural-looking solution without the drawbacks of traditional dentures. At Thomas Dental, each case is digitally planned to ensure precise implant placement and optimal function.

Whether you’re seeking a full-mouth reconstruction or a smile makeover, Dr. Thomas will tailor every detail to your goals, comfort, and oral health.

Dental Implant FAQs

How long does the dental implant process take from start to finish?

It typically takes three to six months for dental implants to fully integrate with your jaw. We will schedule periodic checkups to monitor your progress.

Will I be without teeth at any point during treatment?

No. We provide natural-looking temporaries that allow you to smile confidently, speak clearly, and eat soft or finely cut foods throughout healing. Once the implants have fully integrated, your final implant-supported restorations will function just like natural teeth, letting you enjoy any foods you like.

How long do dental implants last?

With proper care and regular checkups, dental implants can last decades or even a lifetime. The restoration (crown, bridge, or denture) may eventually need replacement, but the implant itself is designed for long-term stability.
